Reminder for those parents of Grade 5 students who are interested in the Late French Immersion program that there is an information evening at the Queen Elizabeth Auditorium on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015 from 6:00-7:00pm. Please bring your children. (You can bring your most recent report cards to this meeting and we will attach them to your application.)


PAC PARENT COFFEE MORNING; Friday Dec 12 (tomorrow!)

At the bus stop at 6th & Bayswater, 8 - 9 a.m. Bring your Christmas spirit and gather with other Gordon parents for coffee and chat. Please bring your own mug if you can. All parents & guardians welcome. School principal and project staff also attending.


To those parents who contributed all the delicious baked goods last week, and to the parent volunteers who helped out "on the ground" with Poinsettia Sales and the Bake Stand. It was a fun afternoon, with everyone enjoying a sense of community togetherness again.


The Gordon Seasonal Loonie Sale is back! All students at the main school can “shop” at the sale on Thursday, December 18th in the auditorium from 9:00-12:00pm. All items are $1.00. French Immersion students will wrap gifts for the students.. Please bring wrapping paper, gift bags, tape and ribbon.

  • WANTED: Your gently used or unused items. (Only good quality items please).

    • CD’s, games, candles, toys, DVD’s, toiletries, books, sports/fashion accessories, kitchenware, decorative items, jewelry.
    • Collection Boxes will be in Portable 409, 410, 411 and 413 starting on December 8th.


Report cards will be going home on Wednesday, December 17. If you are leaving early for the holidays your child will receive it on January 5th


The QEA community is inviting the Gordon families to their “Winter Workshop Bazaar” on December 15th & 16th. This fun event gives students an opportunity to shop and purchase a holiday gift for their family. Parent volunteers sell and wrap the gifts for $1.00 per item.

We need your help NOW for our annual Queen Elizabeth Annex “Winter Workshop” Bazaar.

Please look around your house and donate any new or gently used items. Ideas for donations include: jewelry, garden items, Christmas decor, home decor, books, toys, games, arts & crafts, purses, scarves, mugs, candles, games, vases, books, wallets, unopened bath products, new or used gift bags, ties. etc. (NO stuffies please).

We also need wrapping paper, gift bags, and tape.

A collection basket will be placed in the hallway outside the school office and boxes will be placed in the classrooms to collect donations. Thank-you! Our Class reps will be looking for parent volunteer elves to help wrap.
