WHAT’S HAPPENING IN GORDON CLASSROOMS?

During the course of term 1, Div. 7 worked diligently on a story writing unit analyzing numerous elements of story writing such as character development, describing settings, sequence of events, suspense, drama, creating original conflicts and resolutions. They were then able to let their imaginations run wild and write their own tale. They revised, edited, proof read and finally published. After weeks of commitment and perseverance with their work the authors of Div. 7 displayed their story books at the class book launch on Tuesday January 20th. Ms. Catlin commented, "All the books were absolutely fantastic and the students can be very proud of their achievements. Their hard work and imagination shine through their books'". The books will be available to read (not take out) in the library next week. Division 7 Book Launch!

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES ON FEBRUARY 4

In the next week there will be a notice sent home to invite you to come to a conference in your child’s classroom. This may be a goal-setting conference, a student led conference or an individual time to meet with your child’s teacher. If you would like to have an individual time with your teacher and your child’s class is having student led conferences, you can set up another time to meet with your child’s teacher.

LATE FRENCH IMMERSION DEADLINE

Reminder to hand in your Late French Immersion application before January 31st.
